Recognition for Proven Public Sector Leadership

For professionals who have shaped governance through practice – not just theory.

Who Should Apply?

The Experiential Route is designed for individuals who have acquired substantial public administration knowledge and leadership skills through hands‑on practice in various government and institutional settings. Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in governance roles.

Practitioners

At least 5 years of active public sector practice – roles such as Policy Officers, Public Administration Managers, or Governance Specialists. Expertise should cover policy formulation, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and performance management.

Executives

Minimum 7 years in senior governance or people management roles – Directors General, Chief Administrative Officers, or equivalent. Must demonstrate strategic leadership, policy innovation, and institutional transformation.

Military & Uniformed Personnel

5+ years of personnel administration, strategic planning, or welfare management within national service. Equivalent civilian governance experience is also considered.

Experienced public leader

Experiential Route Benefits

Accelerated path to CIPAG membership and chartered status.

Accelerated Certification

Skip foundation exams – directly eligible for CPAP, CPAE, or CGP® based on experience level.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Your years of service count toward credential requirements – no redundant coursework.

Fellow Membership Path

Senior applicants may qualify for FCIPAG (Fellow) directly after portfolio review.

CIPAG panel reviews your years and level of governance responsibility.

Interview & Acceptance

Short interview with senior fellows. Receive membership designation.
